Non-Surgical Skin Care

In addition addition to surgical procedures, we offer the following non-surgical skin care treatments at Boston Wellesley Plastic Surgery Center.

Botox®

Botox® is an FDA approved non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces frown lines, forehead creases and crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. Results can last up to four months.

Chemical / Micro Peels

Chemical peels use a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. They are used for facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Although chemical peel may be performed in conjunction with a facelift, it is not a substitute for such surgery, nor will it prevent or slow the aging process.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is mostly used to improve the look of facial skin scarred by accidents or previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles. It's also sometimes used to remove the pre-cancerous growths called keratoses. Dermaplaning is commonly used to treat deep acne scars.

Microdermabrasion

This technique helps repair facial skin that is damaged from the sun and the effects of aging. A fine sandblaster is used to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. More than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.

Perlane®

Perlane restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Restylane®

Restylane® is a dermal filler designed to smooth away wrinkles and folds. It is mostly used to improve facial wrinkles and folds.

Juvederm®

Juvederm® is an injectable wrinkle filler made of hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring subsctance in skin that adds volume and hydtration. It is commonly used to treat smile lines (nasolabial folds).

TCA Peel

TCA peels are used to smooth out fine surface wrinkles, remove superficial blemishes and correct pigment problems. They are used on the neck or other body areas, and work best with darker-skinned patients.
